_Background
Louisa is a Landscape Artist, Designer and Planner noted for her ability to develop landscapes and elemental art that integrate her multi-disciplinary vision and involve richly layered experiences in artful and buildable forms. Her diverse portfolio includes projects in Asia, Australia, Central America and the United States. She has completed projects of a variety of scales and complexity including urban and recreational parks, mixed-use developments, large-scale commercial projects, multi-family housing developments, museum, cultural institutions and educational facilities, residential developments on all scales, cultural landscapes, site furniture, site elements and land art.
Her expertise as a designer in generating innovative design ideas, producing compelling hand drawing and computer graphics, detailed construction documents, as well as her design review presentation skills and well developed sense of humour make her a vital part to the collaborative design process in which she so enjoys.
Louisa undertakes a wide range of commissions that extends to the far reaches of the Globe. She seeks clients that are willing to embark on the journey of experimentation, development and refinement of design principles and ideals. Her work is purposefully unspecialized and ranges from master planning to furniture commissions and land art.
Current projects include various residential developments in California and Australia that blend and fuse the environment and landscape with the experience of living. She also works for non-profit organizations in collaborative efforts in establishing landscape master plans for the rebuilding of ravaged environmental and cultural landscapes.
Born in Australia, Louisa received her Bachelor of Applied Science (Built Environment) and a Post Graduate Degree in Landscape Architecture at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia, where she also taught Landscape Design Studio and Landscape Philosophy. Louisa is an associate member of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
